About the role

As a Maintenance Electrician at Marmon Utility LLC, you will be responsible for repairing, maintaining, and upgrading production equipment ranging from basic to complex machinery. You will also perform basic troubleshooting of PLC and control equipment, participate in machine preventive maintenance from an electrical perspective, and maintain logs and fill out ISO documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Work safely in all aspects of the job.
  • Perform electrical repairs of production equipment.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of PLC and control equipment.
  • Participate in machine PM from an electrical perspective.
  • Perform routine maintenance on production equipment.
  • Maintain logs, fill out ISO documentation, order materials and track materials used.
  • Wire machines and electrical panels in line with prints.
  • Ability to work with the other employees in the maintenance department, operators, and management to implement projects and process improvements.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years hands-on electrical experience with large industrial equipment.
  • Familiarity with industrial and electrical laws.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills involving complex mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ability to schedule and balance priorities; strong adherence to deadlines.
  • Basic knowledge of PLC's preferably Allen Bradley.
  • Basic computer skills, including maintaining Maintenance Equipment Work Order Management System.
  • Familiarity with industrial controls such as Proximity sensors, pressure transducers, encoders, and safety controls.
  • Knowledge of analog signals and digital signals and the ability to measure and troubleshoot them.
  • Ability to read Ladder Logic Diagrams and Schematics.
  • Proficient in the use of tools and electrical test equipment.
  • Strong mechanical skills understanding mechanical power transmission, bearings, belts, guarding etc.
