About the role

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Electrician III to join our team in Louisville, KY. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager and is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of all plant electronic equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Test, locate, and repair trouble in electrical circuits and equipment
  • Perform electronic equipment repair and troubleshooting
  • Repair and replace broken or defective parts
  • Repair electrical motors, parts, wiring, and other electrical devices
  • Proficient with PLC automation
  • Able to troubleshoot and write code
  • Use knowledge of principles, methods, and equipment in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and electronic equipment
  • Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and manuals
  • Work within a team environment with minimal supervision
  • Exercise judgment and initiative within established guidelines
  • Provide assistance to maintenance personnel
  • Perform housekeeping duties in the Maintenance shop area
  • Adhere to plant safety rules and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Follow lock out/tag out (LOTO) procedures
  • Report any unsafe conditions to supervision
  • Report all accidents to supervision immediately
  • Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to accomplish all tasks
  • Be available for call-in duty
  • Work rotating shifts, holidays, weekends, and overtime as required
  • Assist coworkers in installation, modification, maintenance, repair of plant process equipment and systems and support equipment
  • Perform regular in-process audits to ensure processes and products comply with standards
  • Perform other job duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably as an Electrician in a Manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint)

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals

  • Proficiency in PLC automation
  • Ability to troubleshoot and write code
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Pay

A good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $43.73/hr. Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time.

Schedule

Rotating shifts, holidays, weekends, and overtime as required.
