Maintenance Electrician I Apprentice - 3rd Shift

About the Role

The Maintenance Technician I Apprentice performs emergency, routine, and preventive maintenance on production and building equipment, focusing on safety, communication, and employee training. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing robotic, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and controls systems in a manufacturing/facility setting.

Responsibilities

• Resolve equipment issues with peer or supervisor assistance based on complexity.
• Follow defined procedures and practices while learning principles, processes, and business knowledge.
• Perform maintenance on equipment, buildings, and grounds.
• Assist in diagnosing and repairing complex equipment breakdowns.
• Suggest and implement equipment improvements for safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.
• Assist in designing, fabricating, and welding mechanical structures and special equipment.
• Attend training for new and existing equipment maintenance techniques.
• Operate equipment safely and effectively.
• Provide technical support to project managers and engineers.
• Assist with rigging, lifting, and relocating heavy machinery and components.

Requirements

• 0-3 years of experience maintaining industrial equipment (robotics, controls, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical).
• Preferred experience with metal fabrication, paint, and assembly operations.
• Willingness to enroll in a certified apprenticeship program (state, U.S. Gov't, college, skilled trade org, etc.).

Qualifications

• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to identify problems and implement countermeasures.
• Intermediate mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret drawings, schematics, and machine specifications.
• Intermediate PC knowledge.
• Ability to acquire and maintain certifications for service equipment operation.
• Knowledge of industrial maintenance regulations (OSHA, Arc Flash, LOTO, NEC, etc.).

Pay

$25 an hour + 11% shift premium

11pm - 7am
