Maintenance Electrician

About the role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in a commercial or industrial setting. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, safety protocols, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. The Maintenance Electrician will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand system layouts.
• Install, maintain, and repair high voltage and low voltage electrical systems.
• Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards during all work performed.
• Utilize power tools safely and effectively for various tasks.
• Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to ensure optimal operation of all equipment.
• Document all maintenance activities and repairs performed.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a commercial or industrial electrician is required.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including high voltage and low voltage applications.
• Familiarity with NEC regulations and safety standards is essential.
• Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment such as voltmeters and ohmmeters.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams accurately.
• Experience with power tools and general maintenance practices is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required.

Pay

Hourly wage range: $32 - $38 USD. Eligible for overtime at 1.5x base rate.

Schedule

All positions at Stewart Glass are day shifts for pre-production.

• Pre-production Schedule: 8am–5pm, Monday–Friday.
• Production Schedule:
  • Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (shift differential for nights).
  • Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
• All Shifts: 4 days on, 4 days off.
• Each employee gets roughly 104 overtime hours paid at 1.5x base rate per year with the 4-on, 4-off schedule.
