About the role

The Maintenance Engineer at SK On Tennessee – BlueOval City in Stanton, Tennessee will play a crucial role in the start-up team, optimizing production processes and ensuring high equipment uptime.

Responsibilities

• Optimize equipment programs and troubleshoot issues to identify root cause
• Coach plants in continuous improvement, standardization, and lean concepts
• Assist plants in addressing equipment downtime issues
• Develop preventative and predictive industrial maintenance practices to ensure 100% equipment uptime in high volume manufacturing
• Oversee Preventive Maintenance Programs for Battery Manufacturing equipment
• Aid in Equipment spare part management
• Provide input on new equipment design and purchase
• Support new model / equipment launches as required

Requirements

• Experience: Ability to optimize equipment programs and troubleshoot issues to identify root cause
• Excellent communicator who can train both hourly and salary team members
• Self-starter who can take ownership of projects and see them through to completion with limited supervision
• Flexible to significant travel
• Willingness to work remotely and in-person at temporary facilities as needed during the initial plant start-up phase
• Leadership behaviors consisting of outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills

Preferred Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Industrial or Electrical / Automation engineering preferred
• Experience: 3-5 years experience in manufacturing; stamping experience preferred
• Robot / interpress transfer (ABB / Fanuc / Gudel) experience
• Stamping / press equipment vision experience (Cognex)
• PLC competency
• Lean implementation
• AutoCAD experience
