Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrates Safety leadership and understanding of safety regulations
- Working knowledge of NFPA 70e electrical regulations
- Supports daily electrical maintenance activities and problem solving
- Maintains plant technical data, drawings, and documentation
- Reviews and maintains equipment spare parts inventory and stocking strategies
- Provides recommendations and identifies best practices to optimize the predictive/preventive maintenance program
- Identifies, supports, and executes plant improvement projects
- Performs root cause failure analysis for unplanned equipment failures and generates action items to prevent reoccurrence
- Originate, performs, and supports Management of Change (MOC) requests
- Provides electrical engineering support for capital project implementations and modifications to facilities
- Maintains and advises on process control systems, PLC’s, IT systems, and instrumentation
- Participates in safety program(s)
- Provides on-demand electrical engineering support to the business units
- Makes equipment recommendations to improve machine performance based on failure data, bad actor reviews, operator/maintainer feedback, and OEM guidance
- Maintains and advises on plant equipment specifications, including specifications database, drawing updates, and maintenance manuals
- Standardizes and optimizes spare parts inventory, stock management, and coordination of the ordering of spares in conjunction with the Maintenance Planners and warehouse personnel
- Supports the capital engineering group in project reviews, and Venture Manager projects as needed for installations and major equipment overhauls
- Performs failure analysis and data collection of equipment failures
- Provides engineering support for plant improvement projects
- Improves process and equipment reliability by interfacing with outside vendors
- Performs monthly KPI and key project updates
- Conducts preventative maintenance (PM) field reviews and generates recommendations
- Attends or conducts training as needed
- Supports ISO 9000 efforts
- Covers weekend duty and off-shift responsibilities as requested
Requirements
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or similar Electrical Discipline
- 3 + years maintenance or plant engineering experience strongly preferred
- Industrial background, electrical troubleshooting and reliability experience preferred
- Instrumentation, controls, and Power distribution experience preferred
