Job Type: Full-Time / On-Site How You’ll Make An Impact As a Maintenance Electrical & Instrumentation Technician, you will be responsible for predictive and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair of existing, and installation of new electrical and process control equipment throughout the facility. In this role, you will directly impact the safety and reliability of an operating chemical plant. In this role, you will: Safely maintain and repair service entrance & distribution equipment.Safely maintain and repair 480V backup generators and automatic transfer switches (ATS).Safely maintain and repair motor control centers (MCCs) and AC induction motors.Troubleshoot and repair motor starters and variable frequency drives (VFDs).Safely Maintain and repair circuit breakers, fuses, and other disconnects.Provide troubleshooting and repair for electrical transformers (Wye-Wye, Delta-Wye).Maintain and repair power panels & wiring for three phase 480V, 208V and single phase 220V, 120V.Design and troubleshoot control circuits, disconnects, switches, etc.Install conduit (rigid, flex, EMT, PVC) and wire pulling. understanding of electrical classifications for hazardous areas/industrial facilities.Work with our distributed control systems (DCS) like Emerson DeltaV and programmable logic controllers (PLC) such as Allen Bradley.Calibrate and maintain analog and discrete instrumentation, and knowledgeable in control wiring, terminal blocks, and low voltage fusing. Required Qualifications That Enable Your Success High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)Ability to safely work independently and in a team setting by following all required proceduresAbility to read, understand and interpret electrical codes (National Electric Code / NEC), building codes (International Building Code / IBC) and engineering standards.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency with computers and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)Strong organizational skills and self-motivationStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to give and receive constructive feedback and coachingStrong mechanical skills and the ability to use a variety of hand and power toolsAbility to follow departmental practices, procedures and safety guidelinesAbility to read, understand and interpret wiring diagrams, motor elementary drawings, and loop sheets.
