Maintenance - DSC Mechanic

Sherwin-Williams Distribution Center in Fredericksburg is seeking a self-directed Maintenance Technician with proven knowledge of electrical systems installation and repair.

Responsibilities

• HVAC maintenance and repair
• Robot maintenance and troubleshooting
• Maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment including forklifts, hi-lifts, order pickers, wrappers, vacuum-hoists, and related machinery
• Perform preventative maintenance duties as assigned
• Carpentry, electrical maintenance, pipefitting, and plumbing tasks
• Maintenance and repair of fire, security systems, security gates, dock doors, and dock plates
• Monitoring and maintenance of building and grounds, including snow removal
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment
• Manage scheduled preventative maintenance (PMs) to ensure completion during the scheduled week
• Manage work orders to achieve a minimum 90% monthly compliance
• Manage maintenance expenses to meet budgeted spending

Requirements

• At least eighteen (18) years of age
• Legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for an employment work visa now or in the future
• Minimum one (1) year of experience in mechanical aptitude and training
• Two (2) years of work experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment
• One (1) year of maintenance experience applying electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic concepts

Preferred Qualifications

• Three (3) years of work experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment
• Industrial, electrical, and/or welding certification or license
• Experience in electrical systems installation and repair
• Formal training or one (1) year of work experience implementing Programmable Logic Controls (PLC)

Schedule

4th Shift: Thursday to Sunday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Pay

Shift differential: $1.00 per hour. This position is also eligible for a performance-based bonus under the Company’s applicable plans.
