Maintenance Director

About the role

Peabody Health and Rehab in Peabody, KS is seeking a full‑time Maintenance Director to manage all maintenance duties for our health‑care company. The Maintenance Director oversees the day‑to‑day operations of the physical plant, ensuring the facility is in good repair and safe for residents, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities include preventative and restorative maintenance, negotiating and contracting with outside vendors, and adhering to Federal, State, County, and City codes and regulations. Responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the physical plant.
• Perform preventative and restorative maintenance duties.
• Negotiate and contract with outside vendors.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable Federal, State, County, and City codes and regulations.
• Maintain a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in health‑care related maintenance and plant operations.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience, including setting performance expectations, coaching, motivating, promoting collaboration and teamwork, managing change, providing performance feedback, delegating, and resolving conflicts.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Ability to operate Windows 10 computers and communicate effectively in English (read, write, speak).
• Experience as a Maintenance Director in a Skilled Nursing Facility and familiarity with an electronic work order system is preferred.
