Maintenance Director

Job Description

Legend Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Director to join their team. Responsibilities

• Maintain, inspect, and repair equipment, operating systems, structure, and grounds of the residence, including electrical, carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, roof, etc.
• Manage the department budget and expenses, including supply inventory
• Directly supervise all maintenance and housekeeping staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, work orders, etc.
• Obtain quotes for third-party repairs and ensure outside vendors complete projects as requested
• Utilize the company maintenance management system to document work orders, preventative maintenance, required inspections, warranties, etc.
• Schedule and complete preventative maintenance, life safety systems/equipment inspections, and safety committee meetings and follow-up based on schedule
• Fulfill other duties as needed, such as Manager-On-Duty on a rotating basis, or being available after hours to ensure the proper running of the residence

Requirements

• Required: Previous experience in a related trade or position, preferably with expertise in electrical, HVAC, and repairs/maintenance
• Required: Previous experience supervising maintenance and housekeeping personnel
• Required: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
