Job Description
Oversees maintenance and physical plant operations to ensure a safe, compliant, and well-maintained facility.
- Manage daily maintenance operations and preventive maintenance programs
- Ensure compliance with CMS, Life Safety Code, OSHA, and state regulations
- Maintain building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire safety, generators)
- Conduct routine safety inspections and correct deficiencies
- Respond to emergency maintenance issues and provide on-call coverage
- Manage vendors, contractors, supplies, and maintenance records
- Support emergency preparedness, infection control, and survey readiness
Supervision
Supervise and train maintenance staff, as applicable.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 3–5 years of maintenance experience; healthcare or long-term care preferred
- Knowledge of building systems and regulatory compliance
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
