Madison Healthcare is looking for an experienced and dependable Maintenance Director to join our team in Madison, OH.
About the role
This full-time, exempt position reports to Kevin Ritz and involves overseeing the maintenance of our healthcare facility, ensuring compliance with regulations, and responding to maintenance emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day maintenance of the facility and grounds
- Perform and coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs
- Maintain facility equipment and mechanical systems
- Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal regulations
- Monitor and maintain sewer plant operations and required documentation
- Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors when needed
- Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies
- Help ensure a safe, comfortable environment for our residents, staff, and visitors
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience required
- Experience in a healthcare or long-term care facility preferred
- Experience with sewer plant operations and state regulations
- Strong knowledge of building maintenance, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations, Life Safety Code, and facility safety requirements
- Ability to maintain required inspections, logs, and documentation
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Must be dependable and able to work independently
- Must be available for after-hours emergency calls as needed
