Your Role as Maintenance Director
- Maintain all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, as well as resident care equipment, in safe working condition
- Implement and oversee preventative maintenance and quality assurance programs
- Ensure facility compliance with Life Safety Code, NFPA standards, OSHA regulations, and other governing requirements
- Serve as Facility Safety Officer and lead the Safety Committee
- Prepare, maintain, and submit required reports and documentation
- Manage inventory and ensure cost-effective procurement of supplies and parts
- Respond to on-call emergencies and coordinate timely resolution of maintenance issues
- Communicate effectively with staff, residents, families, vendors, and contractors
- Ensure adherence to infection control, safety, and facility policies
- Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment for residents and staff
- Attend required trainings, in-services, and meetings
What We're Looking For
- A high school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in building maintenance
- Strong knowledge of Life Safety Code, NFPA standards, and regulatory compliance
- Experience managing staff and coordinating contractors
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically able to lift, push, and move equipment over 50 lbs and remain active throughout the day
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
