Maintenance Director

About the role

The Maintenance Manager oversees the maintenance operations of our health care facility, ensuring daily repairs, apartment preparations, and compliance with all local and state regulations (Fire, Boiler, HVAC, etc.). This role requires a friendly, efficient, and organized individual who can prioritize projects and respond to resident requests with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily repairs for the general facility and resident apartments.
• Prepare apartments for move-in.
• Ensure compliance with local and state regulations (Fire, Boiler, HVAC, etc.).
• Manage time effectively and prioritize maintenance projects.
• Respond to resident requests in a friendly and timely manner.
• Travel between facilities during the day as needed.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for weekend emergencies and snow removal.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Proven maintenance experience with plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
• Knowledge of ODH and State Fire Marshall regulations preferred.
• Reliable transportation for travel between facilities.
• Genuine interest in geriatric work and a commitment to the facility’s best interests.
• Positive, upbeat personality with the ability to work cooperatively with others.

Pre-employment Requirements

• Physical examination.
• Background check.
• Mantoux (TB) test.
