Position

Position: Maintenance Director
Schedule: Full-Time (40hrs)
Reports To: Administrator

Key Responsibilities

• Serves as working supervisor, overseeing the team of maintenance assistant(s)
• Maintains documentation including routine and preventive maintenance schedules, fire alarm and sprinkler systems testing, generator testing and other documentation in compliance with all local, state and federal law
• Responsible for overall maintenance and repair of the facility’s physical plant, equipment and grounds and its various systems including plumbing, electrical and structural
• Plans work schedules for all assigned personnel
• Attends department head meetings
• Maintains supplies to ensure adequate levels are maintained and stays with budgetary guidelines

Required Qualifications

• Ability to read and write in English, write and follow oral instructions in English, as well as understand labels and safety instructions and other department policies and procedures
• Working knowledge of, and ability to perform, routine plumbing, electrical, mechanical, carpentry grounds keeping tasks including painting, wallpapering, and shoveling snow
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
• Ability to lift and move heavy items weighing approximately 50-75 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a long term care facility
• Prior experience supervising others
