Position Overview
MP Materials is seeking a highly organized and detail-driven SAP Maintenance Data Coordinator to support the development, governance, and sustainment of maintenance master data for the Magnetics facility in Fort Worth.
Position Responsibilities
- Maintain and govern SAP PM master data standards, ensuring consistent naming conventions and data accuracy across the facility.
- Create and update functional locations and equipment records to accurately represent plant systems, configurations, and technical attributes.
- Build, correct, and sustain equipment BOMs by interpreting OEM manuals, engineering drawings, and parts documentation.
- Develop and maintain preventive maintenance plans and task lists, translating technical procedures into structured SAP content.
- Ensure notifications and work orders are created correctly and contain accurate history, failure codes, and data needed for analysis.
- Perform routine data quality checks, resolve inaccuracies, and maintain clean, reliable maintenance master data.
- Collaborate with Maintenance, Reliability, Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain to align master data with real-world equipment and maintenance needs.
- Provide training, guidance, and job aids to end users for requesting new equipment, BOMs, or functional locations.
- Generate SAP-based reports to monitor BOM completeness, PM coverage, overdue tasks, and overall data integrity.
- Support Reliability Engineering, audits, and continuous improvement efforts through accurate data structure and reporting.
Basic Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering technology, Industrial Maintenance, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ or more years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment such as metals, mining, chemicals, or similar operations.
- 2+ or more years of hands-on experience with SAP Plant Maintenance.
- Experience building or maintaining functional locations, equipment records, BOMs, task lists, and maintenance plans.
- Ability to interpret P&IDs, mechanical/electrical drawings, OEM manuals, and parts lists.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data validation, cleansing, and analytics.
- Understanding of preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance concepts.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical users.
- High attention to detail and strong ownership of data integrity and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
