The Maintenance Crew Leader is responsible for supervising and training crew members, ensuring that all maintenance and landscaping tasks are performed safely, efficiently, and to company standards. Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and mentor crew members in landscaping techniques, equipment use, and safety procedures
  • Perform and oversee landscaping and maintenance tasks, including mowing, edging, trimming, mulching, planting, pruning, irrigation, snow removal, and general property upkeep
  • Safely operate and maintain lawn and landscape equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, hedge clippers, sprayers, trucks, trailers, etc.)
  • Ensure crew members wear proper uniforms and safety equipment (PPE) at all times
  • Keep trucks, tools, and equipment clean, presentable, and in good working order
  • Serve as a point of contact between clients, supervisors, and project managers
  • Provide updates, address concerns, and ensure customer satisfaction

Requirements

  • Knowledge of landscaping tools, equipment, and maintenance practices
  • Ability to operate mowers (zero-turn, push), trimmers, blowers, edgers, chainsaws, and irrigation tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable transportation to and from the shop
  • High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in landscaping highly preferred
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience preferred

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent desired
  • Previous outside construction, landscape, or similar field experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills a must
  • 6 months commercial landscape experience preferred but not required

Pay

$18.00-21.00 hourly
