Responsibilities

• Perform equipment, furniture, fixture, building, and room preventative maintenance as noted in the Preventative Maintenance Manual.
• Perform work order request items in a timely manner.
• Respond to maintenance emergencies by personally repairing malfunctions in air conditioning, heating, electrical systems, plumbing, ice machines, water heaters, laundry, restaurant, and hot tub equipment.
• Maintain required records outlined by the General Manager and Maintenance Manager or as required by local authorities (e.g., serial numbers records, equipment preventative maintenance, bench stock inventory, hot tub test log).
• Provide security for guests and property by following all key procedures, maintaining clean and organized work areas, reporting suspicious activity, and adhering to safety regulations.
• Maintain radio communication at all times and respond courteously to other employees’ requests.
• Maintain exterior appearance, including trash pick-up, sidewalk cleaning, weed control, lawn and plant care.
• Provide quick response to any maintenance item affecting guest comfort or safety and interact with guests courteously.
• Follow guest safety and company policy by not entering an occupied guest room without another lodge employee present.
• Maintain regulated hot tub hours and appearance, keeping accurate gas records and inventory.
• Perform other responsibilities as listed in the groundskeeper job description.
• Identify and schedule maintenance requirements for all exterior and interior areas of the hotel.
• Ensure all work performed meets state, federal, and local regulations.
• Assist in maintaining the snowmobile fleet, including sled records, parts repairs, clothing, and gas.
• Assist in running the snowmobile center under the direction of the snowmobile supervisor.
• Maximize snowmobile revenues by keeping the front desk informed of available sleds for sale each day.
• Perform snow removal as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by the General Manager.
