Maintenance Coordinator

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and adjusts corrective and preventive work activities in SAP.
  • Works with Maintenance Supervisor to create a schedule for work completion by assigned due date.
  • Leads the planning and scheduling of large and small shutdowns.
  • Aids mechanics in assigning parts and time to work orders in SAP.
  • Creates purchase requisitions and performs goods receipts for maintenance and stores related purchasing activities.
  • Interfaces with accounts payable to resolve vendor-related payment issues.
  • Leads monthly and annual stores inventory checks and reconciliations in SAP.
  • Interacts with vendors to ensure availability of VMI, stock, and non-stock materials and supplies.
  • Ensures parts are labeled and stored in assigned locations.
  • Provides off-hours and off-site support for identifying and purchasing parts as needed.
  • Maintains and updates maintenance and engineering files, including scanning documents.
  • Safeguards Safety, Environmental, and Quality critical processes by issuing and assigning PM orders.
  • Schedules mechanics for all required safety meetings and training.
  • Uploads ISO, QS, and PM procedures into SAP.
  • Participates in assigned salaried safety programs like safety watch, flash audit, and time for safety.
  • Reviews loss control and responsible care management, leading, approving, and delegating as necessary under the Maintenance/Reliability Manager.
  • Completes assigned safety and reliability actions in a timely manner.
  • Backs up the Maintenance Supervisor in their absence.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • 5 years of experience within maintenance planning and scheduling preferred.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and lift 50 lbs.
  • Computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases required.
  • Working knowledge of SAP strongly preferred.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong commitment to safety and experience in an industrial setting.
  • Highly motivated team player capable of working at a fast pace.
