Technician Responsibilities
- Perform all work safely and according to company standards
- Work well with others within the team and throughout the organization
- Regular attendance is an essential function of the position
- Provide electrical and mechanical support to technicians
- Possesses a strong knowledge of VFD, HMI, and AMC
- Strong ability to read prints and troubleshoot electrical components
- Possesses advanced knowledge in PLC and ladder logic (Allen Bradley Studio 5000)
- Able to make programs, rung changes, set time frequencies, and troubleshoot issues
- Able to program, troubleshoot, and repair all specific Unit equipment
- Perform mechanical/electrical maintenance duties safely, professionally, and to standard while following all company and regulatory safe work and housekeeping practices
- Provide redline changes for drawings and submit to Engineers
- Participate in and support Hankook’s continuous improvement programs to include 5S
- Develop and maintain a partnership approach to operations, quality, and EHS
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain all manners of mechanical machines and electrical components
- Use of computer systems to perform diagnostics on electrical components and PLC system
- Perform work from blueprints, sketches, or specifications
- Inspect, clean, replace, and repair machines, motors, and other electrical components
- Maintain wiring systems; bend conduit and replace old wiring
- Other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 4 years of previous maintenance experience in an industrial environment
- Good command of written and spoken English
Skills & Knowledge
- Mechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
- Operations Monitoring - Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
- Critical Thinking Skills - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
- Speaking - Talking to others to convey information effectively
- Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents
