Maintenance Controls Technician

Technician Responsibilities

• Perform all work safely and according to company standards
• Work well with others within the team and throughout the organization
• Regular attendance is an essential function of the position
• Provide electrical and mechanical support to technicians
• Possesses a strong knowledge of VFD, HMI, and AMC
• Strong ability to read prints and troubleshoot electrical components
• Possesses advanced knowledge in PLC and ladder logic (Allen Bradley Studio 5000)
• Able to make programs, rung changes, set time frequencies, and troubleshoot issues
• Able to program, troubleshoot, and repair all specific Unit equipment
• Perform mechanical/electrical maintenance duties safely, professionally, and to standard while following all company and regulatory safe work and housekeeping practices
• Provide redline changes for drawings and submit to Engineers
• Participate in and support Hankook’s continuous improvement programs to include 5S
• Develop and maintain a partnership approach to operations, quality, and EHS
• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain all manners of mechanical machines and electrical components
• Use of computer systems to perform diagnostics on electrical components and PLC system
• Perform work from blueprints, sketches, or specifications
• Inspect, clean, replace, and repair machines, motors, and other electrical components
• Maintain wiring systems; bend conduit and replace old wiring
• Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 4 years of previous maintenance experience in an industrial environment
• Good command of written and spoken English

Skills & Knowledge

• Mechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
• Operations Monitoring - Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
• Critical Thinking Skills - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
• Speaking - Talking to others to convey information effectively
• Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents
