Maintenance Controller

About the role
As a Maintenance Controller, you are responsible for ensuring that aircraft within the Wheels Up Private Jets operated fleet are maintained in compliance with all regulatory requirements. You will monitor aircraft, initiate, and oversee maintenance events to ensure aircraft are returned to service in a timely and effective manner. In an executive capacity, the Maintenance Controller supervises the maintenance and/or alteration of Wheels Up Private Jets operated aircraft.
Location: Chamblee, GA (North Atlanta, GA). This role is on-site at Wheels Up's Member Operations Center (MOC) and is not offering a remote option. Relocation is not being offered for this role.
Responsibilities
- As the delegate of the aircraft certificate holder’s Director of Maintenance (DOM), execute certain designated functions of the DOM’s office.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies as outlined in the WUPJ operating manual.
- Ensure all out-of-service for maintenance aircraft are repaired in a timely manner.
- Assign maintenance personnel, including vendors, in the correct performance of aircraft repairs and oversee repair efforts while maintaining communication on repair status.
- Create work packages for scheduled, unscheduled, and Line Maintenance.
- Coordinate with maintenance vendors to plan, execute, oversee, and document maintenance events.
- Ensure all departments affected by a grounded aircraft are aware of the aircraft status.
- Review aircraft records and tracking to ensure compliance with maintenance programs.
- Work harmoniously with Maintenance Leadership, Flight Operations, maintenance vendors, and all operational entities and personnel.
- Ensure proper documentation of the work performed on aircraft prior to approval for return-to-service.
- Ensure required aircraft parts are obtained and shipped in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Valid and current Airframe and Powerplant Certificate.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years' relevant hands-on experience in Part 121, 135/91.
Qualifications
The Extras We Value (Preferred Requirements)
- Formal training (Flight Safety Maintenance initial) in Phenom 300, Challenger 300/350 preferred.
- 4+ years combined experience in inspection, maintenance, or servicing of corporate type aircraft preferred.
- Direct experience working on airframes like: Citation XL, Citation X, Beechcraft King Air, Hawker Beechcraft 400XP, Phenom 300, or Challenger 350 preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of inspection and maintenance procedures for the noted aircraft models and systems.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for long periods of time.
Pay
The compensation for this role ranges from $84,000/Yr. to $105,000/Yr., depending on a variety of factors. Additionally, you may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program, which rewards individual and organizational performance.
