The Ohio Turnpike is seeking a Maintenance Clerical Supervisor to join the Maintenance Department, offering a chance to contribute to Northern Ohio’s vital transportation infrastructure.

Salary ranges from $70,972.20 to $93,832.96 annually.

Responsibilities
- Supervise employees assigned to clerical duties within maintenance operations, including Section Clerks.
- Develop and provide training, reference materials, best practices, and standard operating procedures for clerical duties in maintenance operations.
- Ensure adherence to clerical best practices, policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Assist in infrastructure maintenance management, including stockroom, fixed assets, small tool, and disposal management, recoverable work order administration, and related administrative activities.
- Perform routine random audit checks of material and supply inventory records to verify compliance with procedures.
- Support department management of physical inventory for stock materials, fixed assets, small tools, and non-stock procurement methods.
- Monitor time and attendance, stock, purchase orders, contracts, and work orders.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Maintenance Engineer.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Three (3) years of prior experience or training in maintenance clerical and inventory control.
- Prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Valid State of Ohio Driver’s License.
Skills
- Knowledge and proficiency in standard operating procedures (SOPs) and industry-standard practices related to inventory control, purchasing, timekeeping, recoverable work orders, document retention, and administrative tasks.
- Strong patience and skill in teaching clerical procedures, software applications, and standard workflows.
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in completing documentation and forms.
- Proficiency in office practices and computer programs, including electronic timekeeping, Business ERP, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Working Conditions
- Predominant work location is one of the eight (8) Maintenance Buildings across the Ohio Turnpike.
- Required to travel throughout the Ohio Turnpike.
- May be exposed to extreme weather conditions, dirt, grease, dust, unpleasant odors, and loud noises while working in cold storage or outdoors.
- Some climbing of ladders or scaffolding may be required to reach tall storage areas.
