About the role
Ascent Hospitality is seeking a uniquely qualified hospitality leader to join their Maintenance Team. This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing the building and infrastructure, including HVAC systems and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Identify maintenance and repair issues and initiate work orders
- Reports and follows up on maintenance deficiencies
- Completes work orders and all necessary assigned repairs
- Performs preventive maintenance and maintains mechanical logs in an organized manner
- Solves guest’s problems and handles all guest requests in a timely manner and according to hotel standards
- Completes the duty rounds checklists and corrects noted problems
- Responsible for correct use of office equipment, EMS system and Life Safety Systems
- Willing to be cross-trained in all aspects of the department
- Initiates and maintains effective communication with operational areas
Requirements
- Previous experience or training in a similar role preferred
- Must be organized and have good time management skills
- Must have the ability to understand, read, write and speak English and communicate with guests and Team Members of other departments
- Must have basic computer skills
- Must be able to take direction, understand and carry out instructions given
- Must be able to work flexible shifts
- Must have excellent customer service skills
- Must be able to work without constant supervision
Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent is required
- Some college preferred
- Preferred 1 year related experience or training
- Must be able to work well in a team environment
