About the role

Ascent Hospitality is seeking a uniquely qualified hospitality leader to join their Maintenance Team. This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing the building and infrastructure, including HVAC systems and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Identify maintenance and repair issues and initiate work orders
  • Reports and follows up on maintenance deficiencies
  • Completes work orders and all necessary assigned repairs
  • Performs preventive maintenance and maintains mechanical logs in an organized manner
  • Solves guest’s problems and handles all guest requests in a timely manner and according to hotel standards
  • Completes the duty rounds checklists and corrects noted problems
  • Responsible for correct use of office equipment, EMS system and Life Safety Systems
  • Willing to be cross-trained in all aspects of the department
  • Initiates and maintains effective communication with operational areas

Requirements

  • Previous experience or training in a similar role preferred
  • Must be organized and have good time management skills
  • Must have the ability to understand, read, write and speak English and communicate with guests and Team Members of other departments
  • Must have basic computer skills
  • Must be able to take direction, understand and carry out instructions given
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts
  • Must have excellent customer service skills
  • Must be able to work without constant supervision

Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent is required
  • Some college preferred
  • Preferred 1 year related experience or training
  • Must be able to work well in a team environment
