Maintenance Associate

About the role

Opportunity: Grow Your Career – responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment with a focus on floor care.

Responsibilities

• Operate the scrubber and buffer
• Dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting
• Spot clean glass and windows
• Adhere to operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards
• Cross‑train to work in multiple store areas to support business needs
• Role model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers
• Support and embody a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect
• Maintain floor care cleanliness standards, including maintenance and operation of the scrubber and buffer
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the entire store (Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, Restrooms)
• Adhere to company Health and Safety policies (refilling essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End)
• Cross‑train in other store areas (Backroom, Front End, Sales Floor, etc.)
• Support and respond to all Front End coverage needs
• Adhere to merchandising philosophy and signage standards
• Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day
• Adhere to operational and loss prevention controls per company guidelines (including shrink reduction)
• Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates
• Adhere to all labor laws, policies, and procedures, including Associate meal and break period policies
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills
• Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and run floor buffer and scrubber
• Capable of multi‑tasking
• Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations
• Strong communication skills: verbal and written; listens and responds appropriately
• Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation
• Standout colleague, working effectively with peers and supervisors
• Retail customer experience preferred

Pay

This position has a starting pay range of USD $16.00 to $16.50 per hour. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
