Maintenance Associate
About the role
The Maintenance Associate is responsible for general maintenance and repairs at facilities owned or operated by Holy Family Institute. This candidate must be able to perform assigned duties in a safe and efficient manner while working both independently and as a team.
Responsibilities
- Promotes the Mission and Philosophy of Holy Family Institute
- Performs daily repairs and service, as directed through the on-line maintenance request system and supervisor
- Performs scheduled preventative maintenance inspections, as directed
- Completes assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner
- Aid in setting up and breaking down for large group special functions, i.e. All staff events, training etc.
- Maintain neat and orderly work areas, as well as maintain supply stock for maintenance
- Participate in staff meetings
- Provide feedback when difficulties arise in completing tasks
- Make suggestions and recommendations to increase effectiveness
- Work effectively with the other members of the Maintenance Department team and other program staff
- Participate in all required agency and regulatory training within the expected time frame
- Models appropriate behaviors (e.g., respect for others, appropriate dress, appropriate conflict resolution, etc.)
- Promptly reports civil or criminal convictions, charges, arrests, investigations, or adjudications that may arise since staff member’s last background investigation
- Completes other duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements
- High School Diploma: Trade School Certificate preferred
- Experience with repairs and general maintenance
- Minimum 2 years’ experience
- Must have Act 33/34 and FBI clearances and valid PA driver’s license
- Must be able to drive between HFI locations
- Must be at least 21 years of age
Physical Requirements
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
- Ability to lift 40 pounds and perform physical activities, such as climbing ladders and stairs
- Standing for periods of time that might be longer than an hour at a time

Pay Range
$17.50 - $20.00 per hour
