Maintenance Associate

About the role

Goodwill Industries of Akron is seeking a Maintenance Associate/Building Maintenance Associate. This position offers the chance to prove oneself, develop career resources, and serve the community.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance duties at all retail locations to ensure a safe, productive environment.
• Provide 24/7 facilities support for all Goodwill locations.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair heating, electrical, A/C, water, and lighting systems; outsource when necessary.
• Perform general construction work related to requested alterations.
• Perform landscaping and grounds maintenance duties as needed.
• Perform seasonal exterior work (e.g., snow removal, plowing, painting).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• General carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC skills
• Knowledge of tools and safe handling
• Valid driver's license
• Driving record that allows insurability at the level required by the organization

Work schedule

You must be able to provide 24/7 support for Goodwill facilities in Portage, Summit, Medina, Ashland, and Richland counties.
