Maintenance Associate - 5am

About the role

Oversees, maintains, and performs non-skilled repairs on equipment and other structures within a distribution center.

Responsibilities

• Completes basic building maintenance tasks or works with vendors on more complex tasks, including painting, plumbing, electrical lighting, HVAC, and material handling equipment repairs.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment for distribution associates.
• Performs limited preventative maintenance inspections on assigned warehouse equipment assets and buildings.
• Delivers equipment status reports on open and closed maintenance work orders.
• Provides operational support for general warehouse duties.
• Assists with parts inventory management and reports maintenance problems to management.
• Operates material handling equipment, battery equipment, and other powered equipment.
• Ensures hazardous materials are properly stored, managed, and maintained.

Nature and Scope: Selects correct processes from clearly prescribed rules, past practices, or instruction. Seeks advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from supervisor. Deviations from the norm are cleared by the supervisor. Under close supervision, exercises limited latitude/independent judgment. Work typically involves detailed checks or close review of output by a senior coworker and/or supervisor.
