Maintenance Assistant Technician 1st Shift, 6a-230p

About the Role

Pleasant Acres Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Assistant Technician to join our facilities team on our 1st shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM). As a key member of our maintenance team, you will ensure the overall upkeep and maintenance of our campus, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including repairing, replacing, and installing equipment, fixtures, and appliances.
• Under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Director or their assistant, manage the boiler room, electrical room, mechanical room, and all mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues in a timely and efficient manner.
• Conduct routine inspections of the facility to identify potential maintenance needs and address issues promptly.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and minimize downtime.
• Operate Pleasant Acres motor vehicles.

Requirements

• Extensive and progressive experience in maintenance work, with appropriate schooling or technical certification preferred but not required.
• May be required to work overtime as assigned or requested (e.g., snow removal, disaster response).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Valid driver’s license (may be required for certain tasks).
