About the role

Weinstein Properties is seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Assistant Supervisor in Cary, NC (Bexley at Triangle Park). This is a working lead role responsible for assisting with managing and coordinating a service team to ensure efficient upkeep, inventory, and repair of grounds and buildings. The maintenance team diagnoses problems and makes repairs in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, drywalling, exterior structural, and appliances. You will also assist with scheduling and directly supervising all in-house and/or vendor work, and share on-call duties with other team members.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing and coordinating activities of the service team to ensure efficient completion of upkeep, inventory, and repair of grounds and buildings
• Diagnose problems and make repairs in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, drywalling, exterior structural, and appliances
• Assist with scheduling and directly supervising all in-house and/or vendor work
• Share on-call duties with other team members
• Follow professional maintenance practices, use quality control, and adhere to policies/procedures
• Provide customer service-driven maintenance to create a positive influence on visitors, prospects, and residents

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years trade-related experience with at least 2 years of hands-on apartment maintenance supervisory experience
• Strong working knowledge of all aspects of building maintenance
• EPA/CFC Refrigerant certification required (Type I and II or Universal)
• Hands-on HVAC repair experience required
• Computer skills: use business software to assign and manage work orders, schedule turns, order supplies, and communicate via email
• Willing to share on-call duties with other team members
• Valid driver’s license, transportation, and tools required
• DMV and background/criminal check will be conducted

Pay

• Starting at $25 per hour depending on experience
• On-call bonus: $150 per week (calls or no calls) plus an additional $150 per holiday on-call bonus
• Quarterly bonus: $1,110 potential (based on performance of property and team)
