About the role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Assistant Supervisor to assist with managing and coordinating activities of a service team at Bexley at Left Bank in Fort Worth, TX. In this "working" lead role, you will ensure all upkeep, inventory, and repair of grounds and buildings are completed efficiently. The maintenance team diagnoses problems and makes repairs in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, drywall, exterior structural, and appliances. You will also assist with scheduling and directly supervising in-house and vendor work, sharing on-call duties with the team.
The effective performance of our service team maximizes rents and maintains high occupancy levels by following professional maintenance practices, quality control, and company policies. Our team is customer service-driven, creating a lasting influence on visitors, prospects, and residents.
Responsibilities
- Assist with managing and coordinating a service team to ensure efficient upkeep, inventory, and repair of property grounds and buildings.
- Diagnose and repair issues in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, drywall, exterior structural, and appliances.
- Schedule and supervise in-house and vendor work.
- Share on-call duties with team members.
- Use business software to assign and manage work orders, schedule turns, order supplies, and communicate via email.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of trade-related experience, with at least 2 years of hands-on apartment maintenance supervisory experience.
- Strong working knowledge of all aspects of building maintenance.
- EPA/CFC Refrigerant certification required (Type I and II or Universal).
- Hands-on HVAC repair experience.
- Computer skills for managing work orders, scheduling, and communication.
- Willingness to share on-call duties with team members.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and personal tools required.
- DMV and background/criminal checks will be conducted.
Pay
- Starting pay: $26 per hour (depending on experience).
- On-call bonus: $150 per week (regardless of calls) plus an additional $150 for holiday on-call duty.
- Quarterly bonus: Up to $1,110 (based on property and team performance).
