Maintenance Assistant

About the role

The Maintenance Assistant provides ongoing preventative maintenance and resident assistance, building and grounds maintenance, troubleshooting maintenance problems, and various related tasks as assigned. Performs most tasks independently with occasional assistance from outside vendors. Is available to respond to maintenance emergencies that may arise outside of regular working hours.

Requirements

• Prior experience in building maintenance.
• Must possess knowledge of the following:
  • Plumbing, including but not limited to design/mechanics of commodes, plumbing fixtures, drains, discharge lines, hot water heaters, dishwashers, ice machines, etc.
  • HVAC, including but not limited to general principles of HVAC and heat pump operation/mechanics, and refrigeration.
  • Electricity, including but not limited to wiring, voltage, amperage.
  • Mechanics, including but not limited to design/operation of engines.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license; must have a clean driving record with no major violations.

Pay

$23.00 - $25.00 per hour
