About the role
Premier Washington, a leading rehabilitation and nursing facility in Washington, Pennsylvania, is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Maintenance Assistant to join our team. As a vital member of our facilities team, you will ensure the maintenance and upkeep of our facility, provide excellent customer service, and support our clinical and support staff.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work
- Assist with repairs and maintenance of equipment, machinery, and furniture
- Conduct routine inspections of the facility to identify and address any maintenance issues
- Respond to emergency calls and prioritize tasks accordingly
- Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless operations
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
- Collaborate with the facilities team to develop and implement preventive maintenance programs
Requirements
- Prior experience in maintenance or a related field
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and navigate stairs
