Maintenance Assistant
About the Role
Operate heavy equipment such as trucks, tractors, bulldozers, loaders, and similar machinery. Operate light equipment including power mowers, chain saws, drills, and power saws. Perform tasks using power and manual hand tools such as saws, hammers, drills, sanders, and stationary power tools. Execute a variety of construction trades, including masonry, carpentry, and electrical work.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years of experience in maintenance or mechanical work under the supervision of a skilled trades worker or completion of an appropriate two-year technical school course.
- Valid driver’s license or ability to meet the transportation needs of the position.
- Ability to negotiate difficult terrain and work in remote areas.
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
- Willingness to travel, including overnight travel, and work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Availability for emergency response and after-hours emergencies.
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
Possession of a valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License is preferred but not required.
