Maintenance Assistant

Essential Functions of the Job

• Aid the Maintenance Director with daily upkeep, general repairs, painting, landscape upkeep, and other tasks as directed.
• Clean exterior entrances safely, paying special attention to front, side, and emergency entrances.
• Remove and transport trash, infectious waste, hazardous materials, and linen from designated areas.
• Perform special and extra duties as instructed by supervisors, such as window cleaning, wall washing, furniture moving, unloading trucks, and delivering supplies.
• Report to work at scheduled times and demonstrate flexibility.
• Use work time productively, manage equipment and supplies efficiently (cost-conscious use of supplies, disposal, recycling), and adhere to break and lunch time guidelines.

Departmental Expectations

Works in a safe manner, maintaining cleanliness of exterior entrances.

Responsible for removing and transporting various types of waste and materials from designated areas.

Performs additional duties as directed by supervisors, including window cleaning, wall washing, furniture moving, unloading trucks, and delivering supplies.

Reports to work on scheduled days and demonstrates flexibility regarding work hours.
