Maintenance Assistant

About the role

Livingston Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support the overall upkeep and safety of our facility. We’re open to both full-time and part-time applicants.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and manuals.
• Maintain/repair motor controls, programmable controls, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Operate hand and power tools safely.
• Repair and/or replace electrical fixtures, motors, stoves, dryers, washers, medical equipment.
• Check and replace faulty circuits or breakers, and low voltage electrical equipment.
• Repair plaster and drywall.
• Maintain plumbing system and fixtures.

Requirements

• General experience in equipment maintenance.
• Demonstrated skills in using proper basic hand tools and materials.
• Able to assess physical plant problems and respond to them.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing, copper, galvanized, and plastic pipe.
• Preferred: Basic knowledge of HVAC.
• Preferred: Working knowledge of building codes, fire regulations, and emergency plant operations.
• Preferred: Industry experience or similar general maintenance and repair background.

Pay

$18–$20/hr
