Maintenance Assistant

About the role

Wind River Rehabilitation and Wellness is accepting applications for a Maintenance Assistant to assist with general maintenance responsibilities throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and manuals
• Maintain and repair motor controls, programmable controls, hydraulics, and pneumatics
• Operate hand and power tools safely
• Repair and/or replace electrical fixtures, motors, stoves, dryers, washers, and medical equipment
• Check and replace faulty circuits or breakers, and low voltage electrical equipment
• Repair plaster and drywall
• Maintain plumbing system and fixtures

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Required: General experience in equipment maintenance; demonstrated skills in using proper basic hand tools and materials
• Required: Able to assess physical plant problems and respond to physical plant problems
• Preferred: Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing, including copper, galvanized, and plastic pipe
• Preferred: Basic knowledge of HVAC
• Preferred: Working knowledge of building codes, fire regulations, and emergency plant operations

Education, Licensure, and Experience

• Required: Valid driver’s license in the state of residence
• Preferred: Industry experience or similar general maintenance and repair background
