Maintenance Assistant
The primary purpose of the Maintenance Assistant is to ensure the highest quality and cleanliness of resident care available, support staff, and establish a positive reputation in the community while delivering on the Eduro HealthCare Values of wellness, compassion, customer experience, and company results.
- Report to Maintenance Director/Supervisor
- Make minor repairs on handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, electrical equipment, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers, changes filters on HVAC equipment, lifts and stocks supplies
- Take care of the tools and equipment
- Operate in the TELS platform system for all Life Safety, regulatory and daily tasks
- Must be able to use and operate the following equipment: all garden equipment (shovel, lawn mower, hoe, rake, grass trimmer, hand tools, etc.), snow removal tools and equipment (snow blower, shovel, etc.), carpenter tools and equipment (saws, sander, wrench, etc.), plumbing tools and equipment, painting tools and equipment, electrical tools and equipment, all heating and cooling tools and equipment (boiler, furnace, water heater, air conditioning units, etc.), housekeeping tools and equipment, appliance repair tools and equipment, general maintenance tools, van, truck, ladder, etc.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing, and carpentry
- Successful completion of a training and competency evaluation program required
- Completion of orientation required by company policy
- Health screening and TB test (if required) within two weeks of employment
- Mandatory drug test within 90 days of hire
- Must be free of criminal activity proven by a criminal background check
- Show within three (3) days of hire satisfactory evidence of identity and eligibility for employment
- Highschool Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year experience in Maintenance
