About the Role

Dove Healthcare – Superior is looking for a Maintenance Assistant to help keep our skilled nursing center and assisted living residence safe, comfortable, functional, and looking its best. This role offers variety in daily tasks and the satisfaction of making a real difference through hands-on work.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide variety of building and property maintenance
  • Schedule and complete preventive maintenance
  • Monitor and maintain building systems
  • Inspect units and the overall property for maintenance needs
  • Handle basic plumbing repairs, fixture replacements, drain snaking, and leak repairs
  • Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and fixture/device replacements
  • Paint and complete interior and exterior touch-ups
  • Maintain landscaping, grounds, and outdoor areas
  • Assist with lawn care and seasonal snow removal
  • Travel to additional properties as needed
  • Coordinate and oversee contractors
  • Keep projects within established expense limits
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records
  • Cover after-hours maintenance emergencies as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Provide friendly, professional service to residents, contractors, and coworkers
  • Follow all applicable safety regulations and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to plan and carry out repair projects
  • Basic knowledge of record keeping and cost estimating
  • Strong organization and time-management skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally
  • A positive, courteous attitude and commitment to excellent customer service
