Maintenance Assistant

About the role

We are currently accepting applications for a Maintenance Assistant within our long-term care and rehab facility specializing in geriatrics. This position requires dedication to a job well done, dependability, flexibility, accountability, and a positive attitude is a must. Must enjoy working with our residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Aid the Maintenance Director in all functions of the Maintenance Department
• Maintain the building and equipment through preventative maintenance

Requirements

• Knowledgeable of boilers, compressors, building codes, safety regulations and blueprint interpretations, generators and mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems
• At least 18 years of age
• Completion of elementary education, able to read, write, and follow oral and written instruction
• Pass background and drug screen
• Excellent communication skills in dealing with residents, sponsors, visitors, and staff
• Positive attitude towards the elderly
