Maintenance Assistant

The Heights Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join our team in Broadview Heights, OH! In a healthcare setting, our Maintenance Team plays an important role in keeping our building safe, comfortable, welcoming, and well cared for for our residents, families, and employees.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with general building repairs and preventative maintenance
• Completing routine maintenance work orders
• Helping maintain resident rooms and common areas
• Assisting with basic plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry needs
• Performing routine inspections and identifying areas needing attention
• Helping maintain the exterior and grounds of the facility
• Assisting with equipment and facility upkeep
• Responding to maintenance needs throughout the building
• Supporting safety, compliance, and emergency preparedness efforts
• Pitching in wherever needed to keep our facility looking and functioning at its best

Requirements

• Dependable, organized, and takes pride in work
• Positive attitude and works well as part of a team
• Comfortable working independently and managing multiple tasks
• General maintenance or handyman experience
• Basic knowledge of building repairs and maintenance
• Understands the importance of safety and attention to detail
• Enjoys working around people and contributing to a positive environment
• Previous maintenance experience in healthcare, skilled nursing, assisted living, or a similar setting is a plus, but not required
