The Job At-A-Glance

  • Responsible for providing first-class customer service to prospects and residents
  • Ensuring the property is clean, maintained, and safe for all
  • Assisting in managing building systems and life safety systems
  • Maintaining an organized and safe maintenance shop and storage areas
  • Completing all work orders timely, professionally, and courteously
  • Ensuring thorough clean-up before leaving the unit or finishing each work session
  • Maintaining professional quality in workmanship, communication, personal appearance, organization, and reporting
  • Identifying and addressing potential situations that could cause liability to the property or management company
  • Avoiding unnecessary damage to the property and equipment
  • Assisting in keeping the property grounds clean by picking up trash
  • Assisting in completing all work orders
  • Maintaining an organized and safe maintenance shop and storage areas at all times
  • Ensuring all exterior lighting is functional and adequate for community safety
  • Overseeing necessary inspections
  • Setting realistic project deadlines and keeping the Manager updated on progress
  • Fulfilling all applicable codes, legal requirements, OSHA standards, and compliance statutes

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year relevant experience managing building systems in student housing
  • At least 1 year experience with building automation systems and life safety systems
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, and meet deadlines
  • Entrepreneurial mindset — creative, proactive, and willing to challenge the status quo to better serve residents and the company
