The Job At-A-Glance
- Responsible for providing first-class customer service to prospects and residents
- Ensuring the property is clean, maintained, and safe for all
- Assisting in managing building systems and life safety systems
- Maintaining an organized and safe maintenance shop and storage areas
- Completing all work orders timely, professionally, and courteously
- Ensuring thorough clean-up before leaving the unit or finishing each work session
- Maintaining professional quality in workmanship, communication, personal appearance, organization, and reporting
- Identifying and addressing potential situations that could cause liability to the property or management company
- Avoiding unnecessary damage to the property and equipment
- Assisting in keeping the property grounds clean by picking up trash
- Assisting in completing all work orders
- Maintaining an organized and safe maintenance shop and storage areas at all times
- Ensuring all exterior lighting is functional and adequate for community safety
- Overseeing necessary inspections
- Setting realistic project deadlines and keeping the Manager updated on progress
- Fulfilling all applicable codes, legal requirements, OSHA standards, and compliance statutes
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year relevant experience managing building systems in student housing
- At least 1 year experience with building automation systems and life safety systems
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, and meet deadlines
- Entrepreneurial mindset — creative, proactive, and willing to challenge the status quo to better serve residents and the company
