Maintenance Assistant

Responsibilities

• Affords assistance with basic facility repairs of property, equipment and grounds.
• Executes scheduled preventative maintenance on facility equipment, excluding services provided under service contracts with outside contractors.
• Carries out errands, manages incoming and outgoing freight, lifts and moves heavy furniture and equipment.
• Performs routine inspections of property and equipment and keeps accurate records of work.
• Occasionally undertakes paid on-call duty for emergencies as directed by the Administrator and Maintenance Director.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent, with a technical degree or associate degree preferred but not mandatory.
• Willingness to learn, ability to follow directions, and good attention to detail.
