Maintenance Assistant

About the role

Bayshore Residence and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an experienced Maintenance Assistant to perform regular facility inspections, schedule and oversee maintenance and repairs, manage contracted services, maintain detailed records, and ensure compliance with State, Federal, and OSHA standards. The role requires availability for on-call emergency response.

Schedule

• Full Time — 40 hours per week
• On-call every other weekend

Pay

• $19.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of the facility for safety, upkeep, appearance, and equipment performance
• Schedule and ensure completion of all maintenance and repairs
• Provide oversight of maintenance and repairs and ensure contracted services are completed in a timely fashion
• Maintain records of all repairs, preventative maintenance, warranties, and inspections
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with State, Federal, and OSHA standards
• Be available on call for emergency situations

Requirements

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
• Boiler License preferred
• Strong work ethic, intense drive, and initiative for quality service
• Solid computer skills with working knowledge of MS Office
• Ability to multi-task, stay on task, and maintain focus in stressful situations
