About the role

The Maintenance Assistant maintains the grounds, facility, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily maintenance services with nursing services when performing routine assignments in resident living areas.
• Assist with all repairs, preventative maintenance, refurbishing projects, and furniture/equipment moving.
• Maintain the facility grounds.
• Ensure that the facility and its equipment are properly maintained for resident comfort and convenience.
• Assist with safety inspections, tests, and drills, as requested.
• Provide innovative, responsible healthcare with the creation and implementation of new ideas and concepts that continually improve systems and processes to achieve superior results.

Requirements

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Two (2) years’ experience as a building trade helper, apprentice, or equivalent preferred.
• Must be qualified, compassionate, and dedicated to a job well done.
