Maintenance Assistant

Maintain and repair various equipment and facilities at Diamond Packaging, a leading innovator in sustainable packaging solutions. This role is ideal for a full-time, 3rd shift worker (with a shift differential), assisting maintenance technicians and installing new equipment.

• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues on production, telecommunication, and maintenance equipment.
• Rebuild necessary equipment components like pumps, motors, glue pots, gear boxes, forklift trucks, printing presses, and die cutting machines.
• Install production equipment according to manufacturer's specifications.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
• Good mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, able to interact with all levels of employees.
• Valid driver's license.

Pay Range

$16.50 - $21.00/hour

Job Description

Assist maintenance technicians with diagnosing mechanical and electrical problems on production, telecommunication, and maintenance equipment, and facility structures. Assist with rebuilding necessary equipment components such as pumps, motors, glue pots, gear boxes, forklift trucks, printing presses, die cutting machines. Assist with the installation of production equipment in accordance with the manufacturers' mechanical and electrical specifications.
