Maintenance Area Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety, health, and environmental concerns are considered before scheduling work.
• Work with EHS team to complete documentation of safe work plans and contractor / supplemental labor approval.
• Review and update work procedure information to optimize touch time for craft personnel.
• Schedule work to allow resources to be used most effectively.
• Coordinate Safety, Pre-task assessments, hot permits, confined space, LTV, and gate bypass.
• Identify, obtain, stage, and document materials, special tools or equipment needed for work.
• Write Work Orders in Oracle eAM.
• Pre-kit parts and special tools in a specific location to reduce time spent looking for parts and maximize wrench time.
• Maintain craft employee utilization and serve as a technical resource when needed.
• Maintain Excellence Through Quality (ETQ) training and documentation.
• Monitor and plan craft employee utilization, acting as a technical resource when needed.
• Order and stock materials and forms to support production and maintenance departments.
• Assist with the management of the Overtime System.
• Coordinate planned and unplanned work to meet department goals.
• Coordinate repairs with customers to minimize equipment downtime.
• Follow-up on equipment issues and develop technical problem-solving solutions.
• Provide on-call responses to address critical maintenance situations.
• Adhere to Arconic EH&S, quality, continuous improvement, and other company policies.
• Assume other special activities and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience maintenance planning in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.
• (Preferred): Associate or bachelor’s degree in applicable field such as engineering or business from an accredited institution.
• 5 years’ experience maintenance planning in a manufacturing environment.
• 5 years supervisory experience.
• Working knowledge of Oracle eAM or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of Primavera or Microsoft Project scheduling software or equivalent.
• Reading and math skills are required along with the ability to read and interpret blueprints and produce field sketches.
• Hydraulic troubleshooting knowledge.
• Proven leadership experience managing craft resources with skills necessary to develop a team.
• Strong problem solving and creative thinking skills.
• Proficient with AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
• Strong business, technical, computer, and analytical skills (from educational background and/or manufacturing experience).
