About the role

The State of Connecticut, Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), is seeking two (2) Maintainer positions. These roles are part-time, working Tuesday-Friday from 6:00 A.M. - 1:30 P.M. and Saturday from 6:00 A.M. - 12:30 P.M. The Wethersfield position is a floater, potentially covering other branches as needed.

Responsibilities

• Learn all aspects of DMV processes, including dealing with license plates, forms, etc.
• Perform custodial work and minor maintenance repairs.
• Use a computer for inventory purposes.

Requirements

• Must meet the minimum qualifications listed on the job opening by the job closing date.
• Experience with custodial duties, inventory management, Microsoft Suite, and maintenance of buildings and facility grounds.
• Affordable physical fitness and ability to lift moderate to heavy weights.
• May be required to complete an asbestos removal program and use protective equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with Microsoft Suite, Word and Excel.
• Experience with maintenance of buildings and facility grounds.

Pay

$22.13 - $27.65/hour, effective July 1, 2026.
