Job responsibilities
- Manage maintenance personnel and plan various renovation and repair projects.
- Ensure hotel premises are safe and functional for guests and employees.
- Inspect hotel regularly to ensure it meets safety standards.
- Arrange for routine maintenance in hotel rooms, lobbies and facilities.
- Organize repair projects in a manner that does not disturb guests.
- Plan and oversee renovations and construction.
- Act fast to resolve emergency issues (e.g. power outages).
- Find ways to reduce hotel operating costs and conserve energy.
- Supervise team of Maintenance Technicians and Janitors.
- Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.
Skills
- Familiarity with electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems.
- Commitment to meeting health and safety standards.
Requirements
- Organized and proactive.
- Experience with building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical equipment.
- Ability to respond quickly to maintenance requests and breakdowns.
- Efficiency in troubleshooting and fixing faults to minimize downtime.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance schedules.
- Ability to maintain proper records/logs of repairs, maintenance work, and inventory.
- Compliance with safety standards and company policies.
- Ability to assist in the installation of new equipment or fixtures.
- Coordination with external vendors/contractors.
- Ability to maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Support for emergency situations (power failure, water leakage, etc.).
- Overall cleanliness and upkeep of property infrastructure.
