About the Role
Tonkin Hyundai Gresham is seeking a motivated Mainline Technician to join our service team. As a Mainline Technician, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain Hyundai vehicles while working closely with service advisors and fellow technicians. Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on Hyundai vehicles
- Identify mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns using diagnostic equipment
- Complete repairs according to manufacturer specifications and dealership standards
- Perform warranty repairs and maintenance services accurately and efficiently
- Inspect vehicles and recommend necessary repairs or maintenance
- Document repair procedures and findings clearly on repair orders
- Maintain productivity and efficiency goals while ensuring quality workmanship
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
- Participate in Hyundai factory training and certification programs
- Work collaboratively with service advisors and team members to ensure a positive customer experience

Qualifications
- Previous automotive technician experience required
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to perform repairs independently with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of automotive electrical, engine, suspension, brake, and drivetrain systems
- Ability to use scan tools, diagnostic equipment, and service information systems
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality repairs
Preferred Qualifications
- Hyundai experience preferred
- ASE certifications preferred
- Hyundai factory certifications a plus
- Dealership experience preferred
Corporate requirements: Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver's license and clean driving record, able to pass a criminal background check, and a pre-employment drug screen.
