About the Role

You are a skilled, motivated Automotive Technician who takes pride in doing the job right the first time. You work efficiently, stay detail-oriented, and enjoy tackling diagnostics, repairs, and problem-solving in a fast-paced service environment. Beyond your technical skillset, you lead by example—supporting teammates, mentoring less-experienced technicians, and contributing to a strong, professional service team.

You’ll join Ron Tonkin Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Fiat, the highest-volume MOPAR sales dealership in Portland, OR. The dealership has recently completed a full facility renovation and invested in upgraded Service Department equipment to support technicians with the tools and environment needed to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose automotive problems as they arise
• Conduct inspections, repair engine failure, repair mechanical and electrical systems, and replace parts
• Comply with manufacturer specifications throughout the repair/servicing process
• Mentor and help other technicians on the Service Team

Pay

• Flat-Rate Pay – $30 - $45/hour for Technicians (depending on certifications and experience)
• $50 - $75 per hour with an Apprentice

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience as a Certified Technician
• ASE Certifications
• Valid Driver’s License
• Personal Tools

Corporate Hiring Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
